Activities
The members of the AAARC enjoy amateur radio in a variety of ways.
Our members enjoy local operations, as well as "HF" operations talking around the globe! Whether it is voice, data packet, or morse code, they're active "working the bands" but there are other things we do too. Community relations is integral for our club members.
Much like the Boy Scouts, our motto isn't just "Be Prepared" but its also "When all else fails"
There is a vast array of things we can do over the radio waves! E-Mails, GPS tracking, morse code, slow and fast- scan TV, Incident Command forms, and more can be sent across the radio waves! Radios can be interfaced to a computer and be remote controlled via the radio. Sound cool? There are IP phone networks for radio operators to connect via phones as end- point to end- point connections. See these links below to learn more!
